Nanami's Down!

I'm gonna sound really a-holish but my reaction to this was; 'Mwuhahahahaha and the bitch finally goes DOWN! YATTA! YAY! THANK YOU GORUDO!' which is just wrong, I loved Nanami as a battler, and in army-vs-army but her constant desire to run away or to trust Jowy despite his crimes and what he did to Ryou, just had me annoyed and hating her, then when she died I was overjoyed and felt that there was FINALLY some tragedy in this game. Trouble I have with Suiko2 is that in Suiko1 you fight good people, some don't surrender and you kill (then feel like dirt), and so many good people die for Tir, while in Suik2 it just felt like nobody of real value besides Anabelle died.

So when I got the perfect ending I felt cheated and disappointed, because it felt like; all you fought against were generic evil villains, and as though Nanami had finally managed to fulfill a decent role, she should have stayed dead and that way it adds an element of tragedy, and a motive for Jowy and Ryou to overcome their differences. I am also of the opinion that there should have been more sympathetic allies for Jowy, and that the game was too happy-go-lucky despite Luca Blight being around (and the problem was he didn't accomplish much as a villain). Sry about the rant, I hate Nanami but I really wonder what's wrong with me to hate her, when she's not a bad character...
