Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Next part is little 'cos is rants, so just ignore it. Just needed to let it go.

_{_{I hate posting news articles. Sooner or later, the most lame side of the community surfaces there, or in the frums. A simple art feature gets you the couple of anime haters complaining. I don't think I forced them to watch :/ I'm glad it didn't go any worst than that though. And that there's people that even if not into anime, managed to express it politely and even liked the feature.
I'll make only journal features in the future though.}}

But let's forget the asshole side of the community. I've been flooding you with devs (sorry a lot ;_; ). I've ben painting a lot for prize arts and such. But I'll finish them soon. I'd like to make something for Hibari's BD but I'm kinda tired and I don't manage to pull something decent OTL
Too bad this week there wasn't Reborn chapter (due to golden week) But the announcement of the 5th KHR novel with Dino in the cover sure made for it for me *v* You wanna see? [link] I'm glad this time they didn't messed with the hue of the lines and blacks. It didn't look good in the prev books. And that the coloring this time came out better than in the 4th. I supposed Miss Amano was busy and had to rush on that one ;_; (not that it was bad. Simply a bit flat)
I preordered it alredy. I'm looking forward to the posters and the story sketches

I'm watching "Toward the Terra" (ain't that gramatically weird? ) I couldn't watch much yet 'cos I didn't have much time, but seems beautiful. I missed a series that actually made you feel something. I hope it continues like that.

I'm also looking for the recommendations you made me last time. I'm sorry I didn't reply all. There were many, many messages (sorry a lot T_T ) I'm specially interested in Basara and Madoka Magica, and event hough I wasn't sure about it, I'll try Ao no Exorcist. I gotta keep checking the others to see if they interest me as well, but they're a lot, so it'll take some good time XDDD
