Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I AM TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've just finished the CSS for all my galleries. If you have some time, please check them [link] and tell me what you think (it's on the folders) I also changed the icons in the main gallery. Please tell me any thoughs you have on it; color, if they're bothersome to the eye, if it's easy or hard to navigate (I added links in all folders, btw), etc...

Anyone noticed that big feature on the right? >> I just learned how to code for big thimbs XD Makes feat more flasy. I made a folder for underrated arts. I can't believe how many talented and promising artist have great pieces with under 100 faves, while there's load of mediocre/bad stuff with loads of favs. Well, that's DA for you.

I'd also like to speak a bit on Pixiv (mine is here [link] )Leaving the Japanese barrier aside, it's the most easies place to navigate *v* You can go anywhere from anywhere, and somehow art is always the center of all. The community side is weak, though, but that's OK if you have DA and Pixiv.
There's also a most convenient option to submitt comics in kind of packs. When you click, you can view it page by page (no need to DL) I wish there was such a tool here.
Really, it's pretty well though.

And of course, the art is pretty. Is all about anime/manga style, and no photo either, so it's more specific. I found Banyu and Peeco, Anzu lol And an artist called Bian who made a super-pretty KHR tarot. Is now one of my faves. Doesn't Ciel has an account there?
BTW, going to an artist gallery is hard from your watch list T_T (my only complain) I made tags for my faves for easier browsing (<<--- super order maniac) But's still a great place. Knowing how to read katakana and hiragana helps too XDDD An d atranslator. Never forget yours XD

I did it bit by bit in my no-free time XDD The code is the same for all, so I just copy-pasted changing the colors. The headers were easy (just crop my art lol)
I'm lazy too, thus the links XDDD

I'm glad it works. I seriously don't know what to do to promote unknown good artists anymore. People ignores feats T_T
