I'm surprised that there wasn't as many journals about this as I expected. Barely 5 (from the 30+ I have in my inbox right now)
EDIT: Seems I'm the only one who wasn't flooded by journals about this. Sorry if I made worst your flood with this one as well OTL
I suppose you've heard fron the news aboutt he 8.9 earthquake in Japan yesterday; one of the biggest since they keep track of them.
The images are really awful. I felt scared just seeing it, so imaginne being there!
Some of you may live there or have family and friends there. I hope everyone's okay.
From what I heard in the news the worst part was the tsunami afterwards, so I guess the coast was the most damaged. The number of victims is undeterminated yet, but I sure hope they're far less than what they think right now.
As it wasn't enough, I heard there was trouble with a nuclear plant. In Fukushima, I think? The area was evacuated just in case, but they say is not that bad for now. So I hope.
I don't know what else to say. I feel very anxious and worried, and I couldn't sleep well last night 'cos I kept thinking about it. It's just too awful, and I , as most of you, love Japan for many reasons. There's many people we admire there. I hope they're safe a well!
IMPORTANT LINKSUpdate: I'll add any links you find useful. Just post about it and I'll add here.
There's list of mangaka, seiyuu, and people from the industry that have reported to be safe. You can see the links below:
List from ANNList from Gaia OnlineThere's many artist, etc... that don't use social networks, etc... so may take longer for them to report, so don't worry. Pray that they're safe, and don't spread weird rumors, please. That's just lame

Much love and support to all those affected
Still, I do hope the people in Japan will be alright. I'm relieved to know most of the people who are inspirations to me are okay, but some were a lot more private than others. (Making me a little worried...)
It seems the situation is improving a little bit though, so let's hope bit-by-bit things will get better for them.
I wish the victims number would stop increasin alredy too. It's too sad.
I bet they'll recover quickly. They're good at that.
Yeah. Japan is a powerful country. They'll pull through I'm sure.
Now for a shameless plug-- I would like to invite you (and anyone who cares to read this comment) to take a look at our fundraising project, Operation Reiki.

It's an open project for every and any artist that would like to participate donating a prize art for a winning bidder, whose money will be donated to charity for the earthquake and tsunami victims. Any art form is welcome. Please check it out if you have the time, and if you can't participate, we'd be very thankful of you helped us spread the word about it.
We're working into creating a dA group so it's more organized. If anyone wants to join, just drop a line in the provided link.
